We Are Tearfund Content Ideas

Content ideas for We Are Tearfund's Instagram
These three posts were created for the charity Tearfund, specifically for their branch for young people, We Are Tearfund. This organisation's online content is informative, funny, and talks about world issues, justice, and Christianity. I created this content under different briefs, with the main point being to stick to the We Are Tearfund brand.
This piece was created as a linked multi-content carousel post - each of the 6 slides were made flowing into each other, so that when the viewer swipes through, it is clear that each post will be expressing a new point about the same overall point of information, in this case, an event taking place. The brief for this piece of content was to create something that advertised and put across information about We Are Tearfund's Emerging Influencers programme. It had to match the organisation's branding, jump out to young people, and present the right information in a quick, snappy, and easy to read form.
This carousel post was created for the brief 'a post encouraging people to think a little deeper about justice and Jesus'. My aim for this was to reflect Tearfund's beliefs about the radical work of Jesus, and make it very relevant for the youth who would see this piece. For young people living in the UK with hearts for social justice, protests are at the forefront of the media, and for them to see short, to-the-point content about this topic, to me, seemed vital and timely. This post proved controversial in conversation I had with ministers while creating it, and for that reason, I believe it hit the brief on the head - encouraging much deeper thinking. It is one of my proudest pieces.
There was no brief for my third piece, other than 'your choice'. I decided to create a post that spoke about celebrating the activist Rosa Parks. At the time of creating this piece, Rosa Parks day was a couple of days away, and Tearfund was launching their initiative 'The Well', working with Black Majority Churches and Christians of African and Caribbean Heritage to tackle extreme poverty and injustice. I believed it pertinent and important to bring light to this day remembering the work of one incredible Black woman, who stands for everything that Tearfund does. Though I did choose to again create a carousel post, I thought it simply worked the best for what I was trying to get across.
